Whether you're navigating grief, healing from trauma, or managing the challenges of ADHD, Spencer is here to help. He works with individuals, teens, and couples to find a path forward. He is also passionate about supporting athletes through the unique pressures of their world—from performance anxiety and injury recovery to building unshakable self-esteem.
Starting therapy is a brave step, and Spencer is dedicated to making it feel safe and empowering. He fosters a warm and non-judgmental atmosphere where you can set down your burdens and begin to heal.
Spencer’s approach is founded on the belief that you know yourself better than anyone. He partners with you to explore your unique story, connecting the dots between your past experiences and your present life. Together, you will build both powerful self-awareness and new skills to move through the world with greater ease and health. He will join you as a fellow emotional archaeologist, exploring how your history has shaped you so that you can confidently write your next chapter.
Spencer has completed his Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northeastern Illinois University, and has his Bachelor’s in Theater, Film, and Television Studies from the University of Colorado-Denver. Prior to venturing in the world of therapy, he spent over ten years performing improv and sketch comedy all around Chicago. In his free time he enjoys gaming (board and video primarily), playing golf (poorly), spending time with his fiance (lovingly), and getting yelled at by his small cat (constantly).
