Amanda's top priority is to help her clients feel seen, heard, and understood and offers grace for being human.  Her warm and empathetic approach helps clients connect with themselves on a deeper level so they can learn to navigate and cope with life's challenges on their own.  Amanda uses a psychodynamic approach to help clients challenge inner beliefs about shame and self-worth by exploring how early experiences shape current behaviors.   She is committed to balancing her client's desire for progress with self-acceptance rather than aiming for perfection.

Amanda enjoys working with adults and couples navigating communication, connection, and intimacy issues. She's also comfortable discussing finances and welcomes those curious about their financial behaviors, stressors, and patterns.  Amanda understands that talking about money and finances can be very uncomfortable for people so she works to create a safe and nonjudgemental environment that lets her clients open up.  She is also very passionate about helping women who are struggling with perfection, shame, burnout, anxiety, depression, and chronic stress.

Amanda earned her Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois and spent over ten years working in the engineering/construction field before deciding to pivot and pursue her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University.  Amanda is also an avid yogi, earning her 200 hour yoga teacher certification in 2021, and loves to work with clients on the mind-body connection.  Outside the office, Amanda enjoys baking, cooking, and planning trips with friends.
