All PHC clinicians are highly trained and able to treat our clients that are experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions and/or mood disorders. Please continue to explore our bios if you require a more specialized treatment plan.

Kaila specializes in working with adults and adolescents struggling with the complex aftermath of trauma, PTSD, sexual assault, domestic violence and crisis.  She is also inspired to work with teens and young adults needing support around self-esteem issues, identity exploration and development as well as emotional/behavioral dysregulation.

Clients value Kaila’s ability to lead with humor, warmth and realism while supporting them through the processing of some of the most difficult experiences of their lives.  This balance helps ease the intensity of difficult conversations while allowing her to connect meaningfully with clients, making the therapeutic process both effective and humanizing.  Additionally, Kaila utilizes and is extensively trained in trauma focused therapies such as EMDR, Brainspotting, Somatic Experiencing and Mindfulness.

Prior to working in private practice, Kaila spent time working with the the local rape crisis center here in Arlington Heights as a medical and legal advocate and trauma counselor. Kaila has also worked with Dominican University as their sexual and domestic violence resource manager and trauma therapist. Kaila completed her Masters in Social Work at Loyola University Chicago: School of Social Work and is a Licensed Social Work. She also earned a Bachelor of Social Work from Northeastern Illinois University.

In her free time, you can find Kaila enjoying spending time with her friends, family, and her two dogs Snoopy and Charlie. Kaila’s self-care routine on her time off consists of binge watching Netflix shows, listening to music while working out, therapeutic massages and spa days!

A note from Kaila:

Life is a journey, and in this life, we are all on a path. A path that will have bumps, holes, end of the roads, sharp turns, curves, sunlight, darkness, the unknown, and more. There is no right way to walk this path, there are no limits to walk this path. This path is yours, and as your therapist, I am a stepping stone in your path. I am here to act like a tour guide through this path, here to help you build and pack your toolbox needed for this path.
