Licensed Professional Counselor

Sara’s approach to psychotherapy is rooted in empathy and collaboration with her clients. Her goal is to create a supportive space where you can share your experiences and feel safe and understood. She knows that life can provide obstacles, unexpected changes, and everyday stressors that can challenge our sense of balance. She encourages everyone to come as they are. Working together, she helps her clients build confidence, clarity, and insight to achieve empowerment, personal growth, and self-compassion.

Sara graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a Masters in Counseling Psychology. She also earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Emory University. Prior to graduate school, she spent seven years working in Chicago based marketing and understands the landscape of corporate environments.

Sara enjoys working with adults and adolescents on such issues as depression, anxiety, trauma, difficult life transitions, self-esteem, and gender identity. Her treatment approach utilizes evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based therapy.

In her spare time, Sara enjoys cooking and baking, spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors. She’s an animal lover who eagerly awaits the day she can get a dog to call her own.
